Advisory since 2023
A shortlist, not a marketplace of everything.
Hotelminder began in 2023 as three advisors around a kitchen table in Noisy-Le-Grand, arguing about which SiteMinder add-ons a 26-room boutique should actually buy. Three years later the argument has become a company — still deliberately small, still an advisory first, still refusing four in five modules that ask to join the shortlist.
How it started — twelve years, two cities, one recurring frustration
Bouzbid Thimothée spent twelve years running boutique properties, first as duty manager and then as General Manager, at a 32-room canal-side hotel in Amsterdam and a 44-room townhouse in Paris. Both properties ran SiteMinder as their channel manager. Both properties, by year three, had accumulated a folder called Tools we tried once. Rate optimisers that pushed prices no one could explain to a guest. Guest-messaging plug-ins written for 300-room chains and quietly awful for a 32-room boutique. Reporting layers that recomputed net ADR incorrectly because whoever built them had never seen a French municipal tourist tax.
The frustration was not that these tools existed. The frustration was that no one had done the boring work of separating the two or three add-ons that fit a 20 to 80-room hotel from the ninety that did not. In 2023 Bouzbid registered RIGHT HOTELS SAS in Noisy-Le-Grand with the intention of doing exactly that boring work, full-time, for other boutique General Managers. Hotelminder is the result.
The three-year timeline
2023 — advisory only, no products. The first year was scoping calls, notepads and pilot-report writing. Bouzbid and one part-time analyst reviewed 47 SiteMinder-adjacent modules on paying properties around Paris and Amsterdam. Nothing was sold. The output was written notes for hoteliers who paid an hourly advisory fee. Twelve boutique properties booked recurring advisory retainers by the end of the year.
2024 — first two vetted modules enter a small store. After a year of vetting, two modules from the audit turned out to be genuinely worth recommending to a boutique: what became Rate Reasoner and the Direct Deal Widget. Both were sold as marketplace listings alongside the ongoing advisory work. Turnover from advisory retainers still exceeded turnover from the marketplace by four to one.
2025 — shortlist reaches ten modules, second and third advisors join. Camille Dubois-Renard joined as Data Protection Officer and boutique-fiscal liaison — a former chartered accountant at a hospitality specialist firm in Lyon. Alessandro Bianchi joined as integrations lead, having spent six years on the SiteMinder API at a hotel-tech vendor in Milan. The shortlist grew to ten modules, deliberately. That is the ceiling: we will not add an eleventh unless we remove one first.
2026 — European portfolio work, second office (planned). The current year is dedicated to portfolio-level work: helping boutique groups of three to twelve properties align on which shortlist modules to run across the group without homogenising each property's operational voice. Portfolio Sync Fabric is the new tooling for that work. An advisory outpost in Milan opens in the autumn.
The three advisors, in one paragraph each

Bouzbid Thimothée
Founder & Président. Twelve years as duty manager and GM at boutique properties in Amsterdam and Paris. Writes the advisory notes. Answers the scoping calls himself for portfolio prospects.

Camille Dubois-Renard
Data Protection Officer & boutique-fiscal liaison. Former chartered accountant in Lyon. Owns the EU Fiscal Composer product line and the RGPD posture across the shortlist.

Alessandro Bianchi
Integrations lead. Six years on the SiteMinder API at a hotel-tech vendor in Milan. Reads every module submission's technical dossier before the two-hotel pilot begins.

Editorial & pilot desk
A rotating chair — currently held by a freelance boutique-hotel editor based in Vienna. Coordinates pilot properties, writes the case letters, keeps the changelog honest.
What we believe
Advisor before vendor. Every conversation with Hotelminder begins with a scoping call. Sometimes that call ends with "you do not need us, and here is who does". We would rather send an Amsterdam boutique to a local Dutch consultant than sell them a module that fits us better than it fits them.
Honest shortlist. Ten modules is the ceiling, not the floor. About four in five vendor submissions are rejected after the two-hotel pilot. We publish written rejection notes to the vendor — not to embarrass, but because a specific rejection is worth more than a vague "no thanks". Vendors who address the concerns re-apply. Some pass on the second attempt.
Boutique-first. Our shortlist assumes a property between 10 and 80 rooms, a housekeeping team of two to six, an independent ownership structure and a General Manager who reads the reviews personally. If your property is a 300-room chain hotel, our shortlist will underserve you — you want an enterprise procurement partner, not an advisory.

Start with a scoping call — the shortest way to know whether Hotelminder fits.
Thirty minutes with an advisor, no slide deck. If the shortlist does not fit your property, we will say so and recommend an alternative outside our store. That still counts as a useful call.
